CAFE Holiday Food Drive

The holidays are coming up fast, and soon we will find ourselves caught up in a whirl of festivities, merrymaking and celebratory occasions. Due to the challenges of the last couple of years, many Canadians find themselves facing food insecurity, and local food banks report that their services are now needed more than ever.

Here at CAFE, we believe in community. We have always strived to be a source of positive change and influence in our community through our events, charity drives and outreach work. Currently, we are in the midst of preparing for our 7th annual Holiday Food Drive, through which we aim to raise awareness about food insecurity while also donating to three local organizations – Parkdale Food Bank, Flemingdon Food Bank and Fort York Food Bank.

This year, our Holiday Food Drive runs from November 17 through December 19, 2023. Each of our five downtown CAFE dispensary locations will feature a large bin, where our patrons and community members may drop off non-perishable food items for donation. CAFE will match all donations collected, and aim to drop off all food to our local community partners just in time for the holidays. This year, our goal is 1000lb of food collected!
