As everyone knows, 420 is the biggest holiday in the cannabis world, and every weed lover’s favourite day! Here at CAFE we of course were happy to celebrate the day with all the fun and energy we could muster. We usually love to go big and pull out all the stops – and this 420 was no exception. All five of our CAFE cannabis dispensary locations across the GTA joined in the day’s festivities, with each one hosting incredibly fun and unique activities. On top of that, we also offered our customers a whole slew of unbeatable deals just for 420 only!
The day’s weather was cold and stormy, but that did not deter our optimism for the day. From the moment we opened our doors at 8am, our customers streamed in, ready to experience all that we had in store and take advantage of our special promotions on all their favourite cannabis products.
350 Broadview Ave
Our Broadview location kicked off the festivities nice and early, with fresh warm hashbrowns for our early-bird customers. By noon, the BBQ had been officially fired up, in order to provide visitors with a grilled cheeseburger or hotdog! The snacking went on all day, with our friends at Stoney’s Popcorn showing up with their cart and making fresh popcorn for everyone. To make things even more interesting, all popcorn could be infused if guests desired. Every visitor to the store also received a complimentary package of infused Stoney’s Popcorn to take home, in the flavour of their choice! 68 Fort York Blvd
Our Fort York location had its own brand of fun in store for our customers. A visit to the store started with samples of freshly brewed Wesley Tea. As well, our friends at Kushkraft had a big booth set up, loaded with tons of pre-rolls to be given out to delighted customers. We also had some entertainment in the form of a DJ, in an exclusive space with Kush Kong and local media 6ixbuzz! Guests who accessed this space were able to enjoy snacks, light beverages and of course, their favourite cannabis products!
1321 St. Clair Ave
The party was live at our St. Clair location – with a live band performing outside on our sidewalk patio! We set up a big tent over the patio so that the musicians had some cover, and they took it away with gusto! Passers-by on the sidewalk stopped to listen to the music, take in the vibe and enjoy the moment. Of course, we were happy to see many of them open the door and go right into CAFE!
Once inside, visitors were in for even more treats. We had fresh, hot pizza on hand for anyone to grab a slice – and we were ready to infuse it for those that were willing to go the extra mile. As well, our friends from Solventless were on hand with samples. The bud room was packed! Our budtenders were busy serving an endless line of customers, all waiting to get some great weed deals at CAFE.
104 Harbord Ave
Things were in high gear at our Harbord St location. It was actually so busy with so many activations that it was shoulder-to-shoulder inside! On the sidewalk, another live band was in session, their musical jams brightening the spirits of passers-by and catching everyone’s attention. On our patio, the BBQ was fired up and guests were able to get a freshly grilled hot dog while they took in the music. Those that wanted more snacks were able to go inside and keep the munchies going with carnival snacks like popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones. As well, Wesley Tea was on hand with a make-your-own tea section, which had guests intrigued and eager to make themselves a custom bag of tea to take home and enjoy later!
More fun awaited guests inside – the presence of a bona fide magician! Visitors found themselves delighted and amazed as he performed sleight of hand and tricks that seemed unbelievable. At one point, the magician even pulled a full deck of cards out from his mouth!
Anyone that wanted to enjoy some 420 were able to access The Boardroom upstairs, free of charge for the big day. We were happy to see the room packed, with groups going up to enjoy the vibe and of course, some premium bud from CAFE.
932 Bloor St
Festivities at our Bloor St location were in full swing, kicking off at 8am with the launch of shatter-infused brownies and infused Wesley Tea! At noon, nachos were brought out to the delight of our guests! The deliciousness continued throughout the day via Euphoria Extractions – who set up a large booth in the back featuring their wildly popular chocolate fountain. Beside the fountain was an assortment of sweet little treats – brownie and cheesecake bites, and cake pops by Pumi’s Sweet Treats, as well as marshmallows, rice crispy squares and fresh fruit – all for guests to dip into the chocolate fountain.
One totally unique activation was a pop-up tattoo station by Inklin Tattoos! She offered a selection of cute 420 themed pieces to guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. Many people loved the designs and made a decision on the spot to get themselves a special memory of the day! The store’s vibe was also amped up by a live DJ, playing a great set for those inside and those hanging out on our patio. Our outdoor space was also decked out with a mini basketball game, perfect for those who wanted to relax under the tent outside and still take in the music.
All in all, 420 was a very fun and exciting day for all of us here at CAFE. We got to celebrate with balloons, music, snacks and fun, and we loved the opportunity to delight our guests with all the awesome things we made happen. We absolutely had a blast, and can’t wait for next year!
