Here at CAFE we are all about cannabis, and of course having fun too. We are proud to be the best place in Toronto for cannabis focused events and entertainment, and we are always looking for ways that our patrons and friends can enjoy weed in a welcoming, fun atmosphere. In recent months, we have launched The Boardroom, a cool and inviting space where anyone over 19 can hang with friends, play boardgames or video games, read a book, solve a puzzle or take part in any of the ongoing events and activities we have planned. Our patrons are free to enjoy their favourite cannabis products at The Boardroom, whether they bring their own or purchase from our CAFE dispensary, or order infused beverages/snacks off our menu. The Boardroom is a revolution in the way people in the city come together, have meaningful experiences and build lasting connections.
For 2025, we decided to plan out a calendar of exciting, varied events at The Boardroom – starting with Buds and Beats, a series of chill deep house + jazz sessions hosted by our very own DJ Aries. The party took place at our CityPlace Boardroom – a cozy yet spacious two-storey venue that features ample seating, big screens for gaming or streaming sports, and a full barista counter serving fresh coffee as well as snack and pre-roll specials. The space also boasts several vintage arcade games and a full wall of board games for guests to entertain themselves.
The Boardroom is the first of its kind as an event space in Toronto. Patrons can drop in during open hours and spend the day, or email ahead of time to make a booking – recommended in case you are visiting with a large group. With its eclectic décor, unique snack and beverage offerings and the freedom to enjoy cannabis with other like-minded individuals, The Boardroom is an excellent choice as a space for private event rentals, like birthdays, anniversaries and other parties.
Buds & Beats took place over two consecutive Saturdays in late January. With Toronto being declared as being in the midst of a “polar vortex”, we were impressed at how many people made it out! The space began to fill up as the night got going, with people vibing to the music, hanging with friends and enjoying our pre-roll and drink specials. Our best seller was the espresso martini – served infused to each individual preference, or just plain if requested!
We love the opportunity to put on events that combine weed with fun and creativity. From research, and also from the experiences of many, many users – we do know that cannabis tends to amplify creative tendencies, and help bring on inspiration.
From chatting with guests at the event, it was clear that there is a trend towards more unique and interesting events in Toronto’s arts and culture scene, especially those that are cannabis friendly. People are becoming less interested in the typical bar scene found in busy cities, and are eager to welcome alternative events that focus on creativity, expression and wellness. At CAFE, we are proud to be the premier destination in Toronto for cannabis friendly events. In 2025, The Boardroom will be home to a wide variety of events that cater to diverse interests: comedy shows, art and yoga classes and live music events.
