Whether you’re an aspiring chef, a huge cannabis lover or a good blend of both, we bet you’ll love this upcoming event from CAFE! Once again, we are partnering with the amazing Chef Travis Petersen, an acclaimed cannabis chef who travels North America serving up culinary classics infused with cannabis. We are excited to offer this one-of-a-kind course which will allow you to experience cooking with cannabis and learn something new!
This unique culinary course is one of the first of its kind in Canada, and we are proud to host it for Chef Travis Petersen – North America’s pioneering cannabis chef. Petersen is entirely self-taught, and his beginnings as a celebrity chef are rooted in his time on CTV’s Master Chef Canada, where he placed among the Top 20 contestants in Season 3. He has cooked for Vancouver’s Dinner in the Sky in 2017, and has worked with many other notable celebrity chefs such as Erica Karbelnik, winner of Top Chef Canada Season 9.
Petersen is now hosting this Safety & Responsibility Certification Course in order to help better train individuals in cannabis-related food preparation. No longer is it acceptable to make cannabis extractions blind to the details of the flower (THC/CBD percentage, terpene profile, weight and temperature). It is essential that those using cannabis to cook have a thorough understanding of how exactly cannabis works in edible form, so as to appreciate the effects on those consuming it. Safety and responsible use are core principles around our work here at CAFE, as we strive to ensure consumers have all the knowledge possible, in order to make the best choices for them. All cannabis, as well as food preparation methods, are subject to stringent testing, for the highest quality and thoroughly vetted safety practices. CannSell is Ontario’s official training course in cannabis certification. We strive to set the pace with regards to best practices in the cannabis industry through our work, each and every day.
Join us on Saturday, January 21 from 11am-1pm as we embark upon a fantastic learning experience with Chef Travis Petersen. This one-afternoon course is only two hours and packed full of knowledge that will assist you in all your culinary cannabis endeavours.
