By now, CAFE is well known for lots of exciting, community based events, and our movie nights are no exception! In fact, our outdoor movie nights have become very popular within the CityPlace community over the years, as they provide a great opportunity for people to entertain themselves and get together with others in a social capacity. Each summer, CAFE hosts outdoor movie nights under the stars – we put up a big screen in the park, and let everyone come and enjoy the screening! Our first movie night of 2023 took place just a couple of weeks ago, on a beautiful, warm night in early July.
On Friday July 7, we at CAFE hosted our first movie night of 2023. The night was perfect – warm with a light breeze, and stars in the sky overhead. As night began to fall on the city, our movie screening began. The event took place at Canoe Landing Park, which is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and just across the street from our 68 Fort York Blvd location. Prior to the movie getting started, the park began to fill up with people in small groups, all eager to take in a movie and enjoy a relaxing Friday night.
Our movie nights are a truly enjoyable experience. People come with friends, partners and family – many children many it out since this is a family-friendly event! Our movie watchers come prepared, with blankets, camping chairs and their favourite snacks and beverages. Of course, the cannabis lovers in the crowd brought their favourite buds – and anyone who needed any more green could just run across the street to CAFE!
We love hosting movie nights in the park! CAFE is happy to host community events that bring people together, and provide opportunities for socializing and community building. Many people in the area certainly enjoy our events, and love to come out and take part in something new, fun and interesting. We look forward to our next movie night sometime next month!
