Our first Puff & Paint night went so well, we decided to do it all over again! This week, CAFE teamed up once again with the super talented Ashante – a local Toronto visual artist who works with all kinds of media, but primarily acrylics and oil based paint. Ashante is proud to create artworks that express her interests and passions, with a fun, creative style and bold use of colour. We were so happy to have her guide our Puff & Paint night once again!
Ashante provided each guest with their own brushes, paint and canvas – complete with an already sketched out design for the night’s project. Of course, the night got off to the right start with a big stack of premium pre-rolls from CAFE! Each guest received their own pre-roll, and were free to light up at any point throughout their paint process.
Throughout the evening, Ashante made sure to come around and check each painter’s progress, giving helpful tips along the way. As well, she worked on her own piece at the same time, demonstrating brush techniques and explaining the steps involved in creating a painting.
Even though each person started off with the same sketch, their individual creativity resulted in so many different, unique and fantastic paintings! It was great to see everyone relaxed and enjoying themselves, while letting their creative juices flow. Throughout the evening, CAFE provided snacks, drinks and some locally catered pizza. Of course, our premium pre-rolls were a big hit with all our 420 loving painters!
We loved every painting, but we have to give special props to this one in particular – the very talented artist painted our CAFE dispensary right into his picture!
All in all, the night was a huge success! Thank you to Ashante for leading another fun, exciting night of art, and to all our guests for bringing so much enthusiasm and creativity to the table. We loved having you with us, and absolutely cannot wait to do it all over again!
