This past Saturday, CAFE and The Nomad Cook proudly hosted our long-anticipated SENSES Brunch event! This exciting, infused fine dining experience was part of our weeklong series of celebratory 420 events, all of which were tremendously successful. Our SENSES Wake & Bake Brunch was prepared by the incredible Chef Patrick Newton – a Toronto-based cannabis connoisseur and professional chef with multiple appearances on TV and media. Chef Patrick and his team whipped up three courses of deliciousness, all infused with THC and CBD. As his team carefully prepared the meals in the kitchen, Chef Pat went around to each guest, asking questions about their experience with marijuana-infused cooking in order to determine the best measure of cannabis which to infuse their dishes with. This method allows for every guest to have an exciting and uplifting experience while also remaining grounded, enjoying the meal and the ambience of the afternoon.
Guests sipped on refreshing watermelon and cucumber mocktails, served in a glass rimmed with THC infused salt. As the brunchers relaxed with their friends, servers brought out plate after plate of a delicious jalapeno gougere, followed by a loaded breakfast sandwich served alongside mixed greens. Up for dessert was an infused espresso creme brulee topped with yogurt crunchies. The food was top-notch, as expected from such a talented chef as Patrick Newton. We are honoured to have worked with him on this exciting brunch event, and hope to do so again in the future!
