This past weekend was a long one – Victoria Day for us Canadians. CAFE celebrated in style with our eagerly anticipated Saturday night comedy show! The night featured a great lineup of local comedians, including Toronto’s own Ben Bankas! We are huge fans of Ben and his witty observations on modern society, and were so thrilled to feature him as headliner on our show.
The night was a warm one, and show goers gathered in groups outside, waiting for friends and taking in the almost-summer air before the show started. Liane Mauladin took to the stage as MC, Ronen, followed by comedic talents Keith Andrews, Ryan Hillis, Rick Rowley, and Evan Dubois on his acoustic guitar. Headliner Ben Bankas took to the stage to deliver a final round of laughs before the night wrapped up just before 9pm.
Long weekends can leave city events hanging, with so many people keen on leaving town on vacations. We were pleasantly surprised to see our room at the Comedy Bar fill right up! A huge thanks to our talented comedians for making it such a great night, and having every person in the crowd in stitches. We can’t wait until the next show!
